One ideal day by the shore, planned the way we would for ourselves
The hour-by-hour outline of a day at the resort we would build for ourselves on a Tuesday in late June. Adapt as you like.
07:00 · Quiet swim
The pool is empty and towel service has not begun. A coffee cart sits by the entrance with single-origin filter coffee, no menu and no queue. This is the finest half hour of the day.
08:30 · Terrace breakfast
Eggs to order, pastries from the kitchen oven, a small plate of seasonal fruit. We do not favour breakfast buffets. We favour plates brought by waiters who have served the same families for ten years.
10:00 · Spa or sea
Either works. The spa hammam is bright and still in the morning. The sea is calmest before midday. Most guests pick one and wish they had done both; the rare guest manages both.
13:30 · Long lunch
Three hours at the lagoon bistro, with a bottle of light white and a plate of grilled fish you did not know you wanted. No phones, no hurry. This is the meal you will recall.
18:00 · Golden hour terrace
Aperitif on the upper deck. The bar staff will know your name by the second day. The signature negroni rests on a vermouth we produce on-site; it is the most unexpected drink on the property.
21:00 · Tasting menu
Eight courses, two hours, one wine pairing. We have spent years assembling this evening. We hope it rewards the journey.
23:30 · A short hour at the table
Or a slow walk back to the suite. Either way: tomorrow begins at 07:00 with a swim, and the cycle is the whole point.
